We derive a general lower bound on distributions of entropy production in interacting active matter systems. The is tight the limit that interparticle correlations are small and short-ranged, which we explore four canonical models. In all models studied, weak where collective fluctuations result long-ranged correlations, subsequently links locations phase transitions to enhanced fluctuations. develop theory for onset relate it specific Brownian particles. also optimal control forces realize dynamics necessary tune dissipation manipulate system between phases. so doing, uncover relationship pattern formation matter, as well ways controlling it.
